I have the honor of working together with Debbie Wallace of Elegant Affairs by Dee for Ayanna and Cliff's wedding. I have nothing but high praises and good words for her high level professionalism and effectiveness. I mean, she really knows how to put the bride's mind at ease. I really appreciate her being there for both the bride and vendors. She and her staff truly care about the client and treat the vendors with respect. It was definitely a great experience working with her and her staff! And yes...I am glad to have witnessed the full benefits of having a wedding planner. ^_^ Highly recommended!
Now, on to the wedding...Ayanna's theme color is vibrant fall color consisting of reds and orange. For the personals, we kept it simple with all roses bouquet for the bride. We jazzed it up by adding red crystal pins and for the bridesmaids, we used tangerine-colored gerbera daisies to add sweetness and fun to the party.

For the centerpieces, we did 4 tall centerpieces to mark the dance floor and the rest we did short centerpieces. We used mostly red flowers (spray roses, rover mums, hypericum berries, solidago) and brought in the orange by coloring the water. FUN! ^_^

For DIY brides out there, you can recreate this "bicolor cracked ice" look by doing the following:
(1) Fill the bottom vase half way with colored marbles (for this event, we used a combination of red, orange and clear marbles)
(2) Crumple a few small pieces of cellophane plastic wrap (the one usually used for gift basket wrap) and place them on top of the marbles.
(3) In a separate container, mix water (we used distilled water this event, but any types of water should be okay) with food color until you achieve the hue you like.
(4) Pour colored water in the vase.

For the tall centerpieces, we added curly willow and on the bottom of the vase, we added LED light, to make them a little different. ^_^

As for her cake, she would like to have a full look, so we decided to do a "waterfall"-like effect on the cake. I think it turned out great! ^_^
Ayanna reused the altar arrangements from the church/ceremony for the place card table and the memoriam table. The flowers used in these arrangements are Casablanca Lilies, Vendella Roses, Baby's Breath/Gypsophilias, and Seeded Eucalyptus.

Her reception was held at the beautiful Spring Mill Manor, Ivyland. Pam Kerr, the sales manager, and her staff were courteous, helpful and fully cooperative. They really made my life a lot easier. ^_^
To Ayanna and Clifton:
Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity!
